ANOTHER MAN IS DOWN

‘We never remember the sacrifices of the lives of those men and women who fought for our rights who gave theirs so we may be free.’

I never ever picked up a gun, picked up a knife, picked up a weapon and fight for my life. I never had to fight for my rights so I don’t know the price of a life if I leave it to another man, a man I don’t know his name, an army of nameless citizens ready to die for the other residents. It’s time we celebrate what you‘ve given to your land.

How many have died from the evil politics. Those who have sworn to protect us from wrong. Who is going to write them a note? As we mourn for the countless lives that have ended, soldiers, police their families abandoned died to protect us to hold up the standard. We remember the lives of those lost in the vanguard.

All these leaders play games you know why because they never had to take arms, another man dies for the evil that you sow. It’s a cold war, it’s heartless. Who is going push back the darkness. All I can do is to fight for the memories of all our soldiers and martyrs. Lieutenant Shittu Leo, Captain Keneth Onubah, Lieutenant Mayowa Areago, 23-year-old Obinna Izuala just to name a few all died protecting us from the evil that had been sown. Put your lights up and celebrate this men and women of valor.

O Lord, we ask that you bless the souls of those that have given their lives to protect us from the evil of insurgency from the terrors that would harm us at night, provide for their families, and comfort their loved ones. We ask that you punish those that will send innocent boys and girls to the battle front for selfish reasons. AMEN.

IT BEGINS WITH YOU

One great lesson that this 2015 general elections has taught me is that lasting TRUE CHANGE begins with the individual. The party-elect APC themed herself CHANGE but in real sense, CHANGE begins with you. Your desire for change has given the APC the chance at bringing about change.  Your impact as a person is so great that APC as a party is so powerless without you. You longed for the CHANGE, you sought for the CHANGE and now you’ve gotten the change. The possibility of a new Nigeria focused on change started and began with you. The chance at making this nation better rested heavily on you. If you had failed, we would have continued with the same road. Therefore know that:

The possibility of a corruption-free Nigeria BEGINS WITH YOU.

The possibility of a nation admired by all BEGINS WITH YOU.

The possibility of true representation in political offices BEGINS WITH YOU.

The question whether this country will change can be answered by YOU.

When this nation will change BEGINS WITH YOU.

How this nation will change BEGINS WITH YOU.

Why this nation will change IS YOU.

How the change begins IS YOU and

The most appropriate person to start the change IS YOU.

Without YOU, no else can begin. You hold the scepter of change in your hands. Use it for the greater good.

BORN FOR GREATNESS

When asked by a group of tourists whether any great men had been born in his village, Leonard Ravenhill had this to say, nope, only babies. They further asked, why then is it that we have so many great men in this village? He answered, naturally they were born as babies but they stretched out for greatness.

Note: Every person who has ever achieved anything in life has stretched for it. There is no such thing as a self made person. There is no such thing as a person who comes into the world fully equipped for success, every person who has ever made it to the top, every person who has ever achieved anything, every person who has been effective in life has learned to stretch. Success is due to our stretching to the challenges of life. Failure comes from shrinking from them. There is no such thing as a man who was born great. Great men were once babies who had ordinary desires just like you and me but they extraordinarily made a name for themselves. All giants today have been weak men who did great things even despite their weakness. Your weakness should never be an excuse; it should rather be the stepping stone for achieving greatness. Stretch out for greatness. You can do it. I believe in you.
