MOVE AT YOUR PACE

The snail keeps moving regardless of what the society thinks of it. It keeps moving at its pace without caring who the heck is looking at it. The tortoise also never cares what other beasts speak of it. It is just so concerned about its journey that it has no time for hearsays. It must do so if at all it will get anywhere. Anyone who will get anywhere in life must be deaf to the shouts. Anyone who will get anywhere must be his best self. Forget about the invectives of the crowd. Care enough to ignore their vilifications and disparagements. You know what, just be yourself. Move at your own pace, care less about what people say. Walk at your own haste, and run at your own velocity, you don’t have to run like Usain Bolt to get to your destination. NO! In actual sense, you may not be able to run like him. You may only hurt yourself if you try to do so. We are all running the same race but we are not on the same plane. Some on the fields, some on the rocks and maybe some on the hills, some will get there on time and some will get there maybe later. The crux is just that you make sure you get THERE.

THE CHOICE OF GREATNESS

It takes no more effort and energy to be great than to be a mediocre. It is the application of that effort and energy that matters. You can either channel it into something productive or not. It is the same amount of time that all of us have but the use is the only thing that differentiates us. Anyone of us can be great but it’s not everyone that will be great. Likewise, anyone can be a mediocre but it’s not everyone that will be a mediocre. It’s just the choice of which one to be and the use of your resources that make the difference. If you could apply the same amount of energy and effort to greatness as to mediocrity, which would you go for?  You can either choose to be great or to be a mediocre.

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE

Every morning, an antelope wakes up. It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every same morning, a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest antelope, or it will starve. All of them running to survive in life, it’s a must if at all they wish to be alive to see the next morning. Everyone who will ever survive in this life must run for their lives. Anyone who will ever get anywhere in life must be ready to run until he or she is safe. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a lion or an antelope - when the sun comes up, you’d better be running. Run for your life!

A NEW LIFE

Today is the newest day of my life. Today is a blank page in the diary of my life. Today comes loaded with it unlimited possibilities and I’m ready to embrace it with open arms. Today, I can be and do what I want to do. I will go through today with my head up high. Today, I stop being a victim of my yesterday. I will make someone smile. I’ll go out of my way to perform an act of kindness to someone I don’t know. I will quit worrying about what I don’t have and give thanks for the many blessings that are mine. I will be wise enough to be grateful, courageous enough to be happy, open enough to see opportunities. It’s a new dawn. It’s a new day. It’s a new life and I’m feeling good!

And as the day ends: I will finish the day and be done with it; I will go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens. I will stand in awe at the beauty of the shining stars and the moon and I will praise God. I will be excited with expectations because I know tomorrow could be yet another great day of my life.

YOUR CHOICE

You can let failure knock you out and you can stay down OR you can get up believing in yourself, determined to climb to the top. You can either be blindly determined to make of your life everything you really deserve OR you can sit down and be counting all your losses. In essence, you can only be doing ones of the twos. Being determined to do whatever it takes to win, regardless of how many times you have been knocked down may just be the real option of life. You, I and everybody else may go through failure on our roads to success. It is just about either never being satisfied with mediocrity, averageness, poverty, misery OR you are deriving satisfaction in all. Your choice will however determine whether you are one step beyond the crowd OR you are one behind. You get to choose whether to get up and never ever give up OR you sit down, knocked down by your clangers. You either elect to be happy despite all OR you remain sad despite all. It’s all your choice. You either opt to choose wisely OR you remain a fool forever. It is still your choice.

NOW OR NEVER!

This is my one shot at living. Yes if I have to make some compromises, at least I must get a shot at my dreams. This is your only shot at living; don’t ever fail to give everything you’ve got. There is no lifeline for you once you use your only lifeline. No ‘50-50’, no ‘phoning a friend’ and no ‘audience’ will ever help you. You have to use your only lifeline with caution. You have to believe that you alone hold your key to success.  The starting point of success is the realization that no one else is coming to your help. Everything you are or will be is entirely up to you. You have to achieve everything achievable within this lifetime. You have to walk through this life leaving footprints that differentiate you from the rest. You have to make your difference. How could you spend the rest of your life wondering if you really could have made it. You can’t afford to waste your only life running after nonsensicals. The time is now to make your dreams come true. NOW or NEVER!
